  • Very basic app. Allows you to see what devices are connected to your router. Turn access on/off to those devices(when the app actually decides to connect to the router). A basic function-assigning names/labels to unknown devices-is not available. Apparently this feature you'd probably use once is locked behind a subscription fee. At least that's the feeling I got talking to support.

  • App is giving me notifications which are ads and constantly shows security threats a a couple devices but then says it can report what the threat was. They are always pushing their security package and offering a discount. I have eset internet security on all my devices. My suspicion is that it is all a ploy to get people to pay for more products. The notification add for their modem is the final straw. Ads and notifications are severely restricted on my devices so they work for me, not them.

  • Terrible app for an atrocious product. What they need is a single-button "reboot" widget for the lock screen, because it's impossible to Cast, print, or do just about anything that requires a device to have a reliable wireless connection with this router. Whenever I get texts from my wife in the middle of the day asking why she can't do this or that, the answer is always always always "reboot the router"

  • somewhat buggy, with occasional lock ups; paid for parental control, had major issues adding iphone to it, and fails.. numerous hours with tech support with no resolution. Great idea, but poor implementation. IT needs to work hard to remedy multiple issues clients are having with various aspects of this software, both on Android and iPhone apps as well as the pc version. I've used Netgear switches, routers, etc. for years and overall had been quite satisfied. But now I am beginning to doubt...

  • Barely two stars. To come from Genie to Nighthawk is a slap in the face. I really expected much more. Like the ability to easily see all wireless AND wired devices attached to my network (along with MAC address). Internet Speed test doesn't work. No network map. Poor Wireless channel scanning/mod tools. This app is so basic that its a joke. Netgear, I've seen you do better. So do better. Improve this app so that it's worthy of the flagship "Nighthawk" name.

  • App functions well with little bugs. The wifi analytics is a good feature but, the degree at which you can alter settings of the router is far too basic, to the point that it really doesn't serve much purpose. Why can't I change all of the other settings if I want to? Why can't I change the channel of my wifi or shut off a certain band whenever I want? And why force us to this instead of router login page when it's clearly inferior? Also the security settings are non existent.
