  • It's an simple experience, however I don't recommend anyone go into this game even for what it offers. Recently I learned that the the themes, basically backgrounds to change the merchant and shop, went from being free to now costing 2.99! Normally this wouldn't upset me, but even If you owned the game before the update it locks you out of the other cosmetic options. And if you change to the base items your either gonna have to pay for what you had or give up. This is unfair and rude to everyone

  • Absolutely wonderful game: charming, interesting, well drawn, pleasant music, balanced, varied, and a nice progress system that is rewarding. If the game included some story elements for the various challenges your heroes can face, this game would be top class, as it is I'd say Merchant is one of the best and honest games available on mobile devices. Thank you team

  • I've been playing on and off since 2016. The developer has done a great job of adding content and providing tweaks along the way. While purchasing all of the expansions are not required, and a bit high for mobile, the content is well worth it. Even if you don't decide to get the additional content, the base game alone is engaging, and entertaining. There's a solid mix of instant gratification, and parsing out breaks from the play. Overall it's a great game, and I highly encourage others to try.

  • I absolutely love this game and the developers. I've never seen a mobile developer treat their player base more respectfully, and as a result, I've given them more money than anyone. All you do gameplay-wise is spend money to either send your RPG characters on quests or buy/sell things, or mostly to combine your materials into gear for your adventuring party. As you play the game, you'll get progressively more income and more stored money to hire new adventurers to add to your party to gather more materials faster to make more money faster to upgrade more things and buy more stuff and.... It just feels really rewarding to progress in the game. The game is also very active while you play it. The game runs on timers for quests and upgrades, but I played this game for several hours on and off before most things took more than a few minutes. Heck, I'm late in the game with 7adveturers and only my last zone goes above 5 minutes and then big weekly raid bosses (depending on which one) can take as little as 5 minutes or as much as 25. I have yet to hit 30min on anything. These timers do continue while you're away from the app, but like I said, you won't make much progress outside of the game until you're pretty deep in, but that makes actually playing the game and progressing way more fun. And about the developers being awesome: most mobile games I see will let you buy a negligible amount of currency for a dollar up to a hundred dollars for an amount to buy the biggest thing with some leftovers. That's stupid. You get a lot of bang for your buck in the game if you decide that it's good enough to actually throw a few dollars into. I used a few dollars for inventory space and that's it. There's also fun cosmetic things if you wanna splurge for a couple more. And an entire DLC for only 5 I think. It's mostly end game expansions, so I haven't felt the need for it yet, but it also adds a character with high base luck, so you get more/better rewards and can grind through the game faster to get to that endgame too, so it's really always worth buying imo. The biggest thing you can buy is literally "unlock everything" for $10 and includes the dlc, tons of storage, new character and character slots, all cosmetics, the whole nine yards. Can't even purchase currency (though some merchants and things can be purchased in lieu [is that how you spell that?] of currency. The storage I bought for example I was just too impatient to earn and I liked the game so much that I wanted to give some money cause it's good). Love it. Totally worth your time.

  • Played this game a lot, and though it's actually pretty fun for the first 20 character levels, it bogs down hard. The drag kicks in and becomes and endless resource grinder to level up crafters while always having under-equiped toons slogging the first 3 zones. Every zone is just a rename/reskin of pretty much identical checkbox baddies and arbitrary rare loot. The achieves and certain glitched unlocks require social media or cloud/cross platforming. No. Lather, grind, rinse, grind, repeat.

  • Great game, but ultimately I found the gameplay a bit repetitive—I'm just not a huge fan of phone games in general I think, I keep expecting them to have more of a plot, more varied activities, more NPC personality, more funny little Easter eggs, etc. I made it through several levels of this one though & it was very good for its genre. Excellent timekiller if you need one of those.
