Along with introducing a brand-new region and three playable characters, this update promises to bring significant enhancements to various aspects of the game.
Explore Natlan: The Newest Region in Genshin Impact
The upcoming update will introduce Natlan, the sixth major nation to be added to the world of Genshin Impact. With Natlan's arrival, only one of the seven main regions—Snezhnaya—remains unexplored. As always, HoYoverse's major updates don't just bring new locations and characters; they also include a variety of mechanics and quality-of-life improvements to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging.
Quality-of-Life Improvements in Version 5.0
The latest Developers Discussion from HoYoverse has provided detailed insights into the upcoming changes that players can expect in version 5.0. Among the most notable improvements are adjustments to world levels, a new tracking system for regional specialties, and enhanced quest prompts.
- World Level Upgrade: Players who have reached Adventure Rank 58 will be able to upgrade their World Level to 9. This increase will raise the levels of Normal Opponents, Elite Enemies, and Bosses by 10, making the overworld battles more challenging but also more rewarding.
- Regional Specialty Tracking: A new feature called Regional Specialty Tracking will allow players to easily locate the exact range of regional specialties on the map. By clicking on the "Go to collect" function, the map will highlight these locations with blue circles, making it easier to gather the resources you need.
- Long Quest Function: A new Long Quest Function will alert players when they are about to enter quests with extended durations and increased difficulty, helping them better prepare for the challenges ahead.
- New Artifact Sets: Version 5.0 will also introduce eight new Artifact Sets to the Mystic Offerings in the Crafting Bench, giving players more options to optimize their character builds.
More Changes and Additions on the Horizon
The official Genshin Impact Twitter account has teased that these are just some of the quality-of-life changes coming in version 5.0. Additional details will be revealed in the upcoming Genshin Impact 5.0 Special Program. One of the most exciting new features is the introduction of the Saurians, small dragons that players will be able to transform into, allowing them to explore the Pyro nation in a whole new way.
New Characters Joining the Roster
In terms of new characters, HoYoverse has confirmed the arrival of Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina. Mualani and Kinich are expected to be five-star units, while Kachina is anticipated to be a four-star character. The first banner phase is likely to feature Mualani and Kachina, with Kinich expected to join in the second part of the update. Additionally, leaks suggest that popular characters like the Geo Archon Zhongli and the Cryo user Wriothesley will also make a return in version 5.0.
